Whole Foods Market x Photographer Erin Kunkel
Photographer: Erin Kunkel
Location: San Francisco, 1939 Sunset House Studio
Shoot Days: 3
Project: Whole Foods Market 2026 Posters
Erin Kunkel's newest work for Whole Foods lives in the produce aisle, on the shelf edge, in the checkout line. It's part of the brand's 2026 poster series, large format prints built for in-store display and repurposed online, each one anchored by a single dish that makes you want to eat it straight off the page.
Erin shot the campaign at her studio, 1939 Sunset House in San Francisco, working from recipes Whole Foods chose and food stylist Vivian Lui fine tuned. She had real creative freedom behind the camera on this one. This is her tenth year shooting for Whole Foods, and the relationship has the ease you'd expect from a decade of good work together. The client trusts her instincts, she trusts their process, and the set reflects it: collaborative, unhurried, the kind of day where the images and the fun on set seem to come from the same place.
Four posters from the campaign are live now, the rest drop this fall!
